Kelly Schwenkmeyer, M.Ed

Supporting parents has always been at the core of my professional life.

As an English teacher, I supported parents wrestling with how to best relate to their hormonal teen. As a coach, I listen to parents' worries about their young adult children struggling to find direction and purpose.

I finally realized something. There is not a lot out there to support parents, especially parents of young adults.

Parent coaching is what I do.

I am a trained coach. I currently coach college students—in life skills and career development. I’ve been an educator in Massachusetts for more than 20 years. And I am a parent of college-aged kids.

I use wit, creativity and my professional experience to help parents of young adults feel grounded, confident and peaceful.

But what about you?

Your children are entering the adult world. Your kids are going to college. What an amazing experience for them! So much of what you have prepared for and anticipated is happening! Right now! Fabulous!

Their leaving the nest is also an enormous transition for you and I imagine you might feel a million feelings all at once. And sorting through a million things at once is easier with some help!

More about me

I trained with the Co-Active Training Institute and work with a mentor coach to expand and refine my coaching skills.

I practice yoga, swim on a masters’ swim team, read, and do art. I have two children in their 20’s- one a junior in college and the other just graduated and is headed to graduate school.

All of these experiences combined are what help me to support you in feeling your best.

What clients say about working with Kelly:

"Kelly was a huge contributor to my success in college! As I head into my senior year, I've gained independence skills, strength, and faith in myself. Kelly was not the type of coach that finished things for me. She taught me to finish things for myself so I feel prepared to move on and conquer the world beyond academia."

"Working with Kelly was a quintessential factor in my growth as a student and person. Without her, my success academically would have only been a dream, not reality. Simply put, she is amazing.
